It's a proven medical fact: sexual abstinence is bad for you.
Here's just a tiny sampling of the many, many reasons why we should have all the sex we can.
Please note this page is addressed to adults-- and hopefully adults who are married or in a long term relationship. For those are the best known states allowing for maximum sexual frequency and flexibility, with minimal risks to the participants.

Sex helps stave off depression and stress, and can aid with sleep. Specifically, the release of semen inside the female body brings about effects similar to those of an antidepressant drug, for women. Condom use of course prevents this effect from taking place.
Orgasms also provide us with pain relief: almost doubling our endurance or toughness overall in that regard.
Women who perform oral sex and swallow the semen may also enjoy lower blood pressure as a result. This element can be especially useful for pregnant women, who can face the risk of preeclampsia (dangerously high pressures).
The higher the frequency of sex you have, the more likely your sex is also increasing your cardiovascular health and stamina. Thereby protecting you from heart attacks.
Higher frequencies of ejaculations help protect men from developing prostate cancer.
Sex also seems to accelerate physical healing of wounds.
Frequent sex helps protect women from urinary tract infections.
In general, the more sex you have, the longer you're likely to live-- and enjoy better health over that span, compared to the alternative. Not to mention be happier, too!

Orgasms offer you a way to forget about your troubles for up to five hours (via a chemical reordering of the brain).
Every time you have fun with your partner it can help pave the way for still more fun in the future too, by making your brain associate them ever more strongly with pleasure in your emotional center. In this way you and a loved one can literally 'train' yourselves to make one another ever happier over time.
Sex can offer women relief from PMS.
Over time, orgasms add more sheen to women's hair via hormonal effects.
Sex offers ten times the relaxation power of valium. And helps protect women from both osteoporosis and Alzheimer's.

Women who get more vaginal sex of the kind they enjoy also gain more attractive and sensuous walks.
"The discerning observer may infer women's experience of vaginal orgasm from a gait that comprises fluidity, energy, sensuality, freedom, and absence of both flaccid and locked muscles."

It just may be that regular semen exposure (oral or vaginal) boosts women's protection against certain types of cancer. The drug industry is trying to develop a freeze-dried semen pill for women in order to make these health benefits more easily accessible.

The more education you have, the more valuable extra sex can be to your overall feelings of happiness and well being.
Married folks have 30% more sex than singles.
Heterosexual women (women who have sex with men rather than women) can get something extra out of sex compared to lesbians: the antidepressant effects of male semen.

One way to protect yourself: Have lots of good sex now (or when convenient). Frequent, stimulating sex primes the brain to want and expect more sex later in life..."
"...a properly primed libido can even withstand a shutdown of testosterone, the male hormone that helps fuel sex drive. He found that about one-third of men with extremely low testosterone levels (often due to testicular disease) still had frequent, satisfying sex.
